Neurofeedback in Sydney Map your brain to identify problems Part 2

Wednesday, April 06, 2011

ADHD, ADD, learning , behaviour and mood problems can be identified with brain maps.

Imagine being able to exercise you or your child out of:

• ADHD
• learning and behavioural problems
• mood disorders
• eating disorders
• depression
• anxiety
• PTSD

In the comfort and privacy of your own home. Neurofeedback is a powerful way to train you and/or your child’s brain that is fun, easy, non-invasive, safe natural and has no adverse side effects.

“Dear Jonathan Just a small token of my (our) appreciation for all you’ve done for Lilly (all of us). I truly don’t feel you have any concept the impact of your care has had for us. It has been a lifeline when we were drowning. To reach that lifeline and be pulled to shore has been so incredible! I will never be able to repay you for your work, understanding and warm dealings and will remain indebted. Thank you so much!” Mrs E. Crowe Testimonials

This is a scientifically proven process that uses one or two tiny sensors on your head that pick up brainwaves in real time and sends them to the computer where they are instantly analysed by the software and used to control brain games or the size of a DVD screen. So you are using your brain power to train your brain...no hands just brainwaves!

“In my opinion, if any medication had demonstrated such a wide spectrum of efficacy, it would be universally accepted and widely used." Prof. Frank. M. Duffy, MD. Paediatric Neurologist, Boston Children’s Hospital. Neurology editor, EEG and Clinical Neuroscience Journal, Jan. 2000 Research

In reviewing the literature in a recent edition of Current Opinions in Paediatrics, Dr Katie Campbell Daley, who serves on the staff of the Department of Medicine of the Children's Hospital Boston and in the Department of Paediatrics of the Harvard Medical School, wrote: “...parents interested in non-psychopharmacologic treatment can pursue the use of complementary and alternative therapy. The therapy most promising by recent clinical trials appears to be EEG biofeedback." Research

Problems like those listed above can be identified with brain maps. ADD is where the brain is asleep or underaroused. There are different types of brainwaves (Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta) which have different functions. There is too much Alpha and/or Theta which creates:

• spaciness
• day dreaming
• cant focus
• cant stay on task

In the worst situations there is poor:

• Comprehension
• short term memory
• logic

Often there is:
• physical impulsiveness
• poor coordination/clumsiness
• lack of motivation
• immature behaviour

If there is also too much Delta then they usually have varying degrees of developmental delay.

ADHD has characteristics of ADD usually the middle and back of the brain is underaroused but the frontal lobes have too much Hi-beta. Children/adults with bad behaviour or mood problems usually have too much Hi-beta in the Temporal and Prefrontal lobes so these areas are over aroused…too hyperactive.

“After suffering regular stress headaches and migraines and feeling chronically fatigued, I now feel in control, calm, relaxed, patient. I feel more optimistic and energetic. I am working less hours, achieving more and I am stress and migraine free.” Mr P Irving. Testimonials
